Lord of the Rings

A movie I recently saw was Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. This was about two hobbits, Frodo Baggins and his friend Samwise Gamee, as they traveled to Mordor to try ad destroy the ring of Power. It showed what happened to the other members of the Fellowship as well, including the hobbits Merry and Pippin, Aragorn, Legolas, and Gandalf, to name a few.

I enjoyed the movie even though it was very long. I liked that it had a lot of action, and the characters were funny. One of the most interesting characters was a creature called Gollum. Gollum used to be called Smeagol, and he has a split personalty. He can act very kind and helpful sometimes, but he is also cruel and jealous at other times. Gollum only helps Frodo and Sam because Frodo has the ring of power that Gollum used to have.

One of my favorite scenes was a scene where Gollum was talking to himself. He was very conflicted, because he was arguing with himself. One side of him wanted to help Frodo and Sam, and the other side wanted to kill Sam and Frodo. The good side of Gollum, also known as Smeagol, won because he told the other side of him to go away. Gollum was happy and proud because he stood up to himself. I liked this scene because it showed how Gollum had an argment that many people have with themselves on the inside, but he showed that it was okay to talk about your problems, even if you're b yourself. Gollum shows that people can e kind one minute, and horrible the next, or vice versa.
