I don’t care what other people think of me. You can think highly of me, you can think horribly of me. It doesn’t change my opinion and what I think of you. People are always going to judge. It’s normally our first instinct when we meet someone new. But what’s that saying, the one that you here five million times at school, the one that your parents told you when you were a litttle kid? Right: Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. Yet that’s exactly what I do when I’m looking for a new book at the library (Just kidding- or am I?). Seriously, though, sometimes we do it without realizing it.
Most people say i’m mature and wise for my age. They also ask how I know so much at such a young age. I just tell them that I do. There are limitations on me being wise, though. For example, some people say I’m too serious. I love having fun, but I also know when to be serious. When people say I’m boring, I stare at them like they’re crazy and laugh (me, boring? Never!), or I ask they to explain how. Someone once told me that something is only boring if you make it boring. That’s why I’m always optimistic.
You’re probably wondering who I am and why I’m talking to you, a complete stranger ( or maybe you’re not a stranger and you’re reading my story just because you want to). I’ll tell you who i am at the end of the story, if you’re still reading. I hope you enjoy it!
I woke up late on the second day of school. You were probably expecting me to say something like “I woke up late on the first day of school, and it was horrible!” Well, I didn’t, and it wasn’t. I’ll explain what happened,
The first day of school went smoothly and boring, as usual. When I got to science, my third hour class, I greeted my friends and sat down. Something was off, though. I looked around the room. Just as I realized what was missing, the bell rang. Where was the teacher?? Five minutes passed, then ten. Still no Science teacher. I sat and I was just about to leave when the teacher walked in. “Way to make as great first impression, Science teacher!” someone from the back of the room called. “Ha, ha. I know I’m late, but there was a good reason. I was doing an experiment with time. Our first unit this year will be about how time works. I'm going to count off by twos, and everyone who is a one will set their alarm clocks for 8:30. Everyone else will set their alarms for 7:30,” the teacher said. “But school starts at 8:00. If we set our alarms for after school starts, we’ll be late!” some students cried. The teacher smiled. “I know. That is part of the experiment.” Fortunately, I was a one. I don’t know if this teacher was crazy actually expected us to learn something form this, but you won’t see me complaining about getting extra sleep.
I know I told you that I would tell you who I was at the end, and I will. This isn’t the end of my story. It is just the beginning. Keep checking this blog to find out what happens! Coming Soon. :)
